A Case Report of using Korean Medical Treatment for a Paralytic Ileus Patient

Abstract

|
Objectives: This case report presents the management of a paralytic ileus patient who was diagnosed with Soyangin.
Methods: The patient was treated with Korean herbal medicine (Jihwangbaekho-tang, Hyeongbangsabaek-san, Ganghwajihwang-tang), acupuncture, and moxibustion therapy.
Results: After undergoing Korean medical treatment, the patient's complaints of symptoms such as constipation, dyspepsia, anorexia decreased and improvements were shown on X-ray.
Conclusions: This case report shows that Korean medical treatment is effective for treating paralytic ileus.
